1. Information we may collect
We aim to collect only what is needed to provide, secure, measure, and improve the service.
1.1 Information you choose to send us
When you contact support, submit feedback, or send a copyright or other legal notice, we may receive your email address, name or signature, message, screenshots, log excerpts, attachments, and supporting materials you provide.
1.2 Device, network, and service information
When you visit the site, download the app, use an online feature, or make a request to our servers, we may process IP address, request and access times, browser and operating-system details, device and app version, User-Agent, language or general region, page and API status, error codes, crash or exception information, connection status, latency, and performance metrics.
1.3 Playback-related technical data
To diagnose compatibility and playback problems, we may process limited technical information such as audio extension or container type, duration or duration range, loading and decoding outcomes, buffering and retry metrics, startup time, latency, and parameters needed to investigate failures. We aim to de-identify and aggregate this information where practical. It is not intended to build a profile from the content of your music.
1.4 Advertising and measurement data
The web and desktop products may display ads, recommendations, sponsorships, or partner promotions. Related data may include cookies, local storage, session or device identifiers, ad impressions, clicks, dismissals, skips, conversions, frequency controls, fraud-prevention signals, and measurement data. Where applicable law requires it, nonessential cookies and similar technologies will be used only after valid consent. People in the EU/EEA may have additional data rights under applicable law.
2. We do not keep your song files as a hosted catalog
OFPlayer is designed to be local-first. Except for transient processing needed to complete a network request, a troubleshooting sample you choose to send, or a legal requirement, our servers do not permanently store your audio files or a complete copy of your library. We do not treat your songs as platform assets, build an independent hosted library from them, or sell or reuse the audio files themselves. If a future feature requires hosting media content, we will explain that separately and seek consent where required.
3. How we use information
We may use the information described above to operate and improve OFPlayer; keep the site, apps, and related services secure and available; diagnose crashes, compatibility, streaming, and performance problems; improve loading and playback; show and measure ads and limit their frequency; prevent abuse and ad fraud; respond to support, complaints, and legal requests; and meet legal obligations. Where the GDPR applies, processing requires an appropriate legal basis, such as contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, or a legal obligation.
4. Minimization and retention
We aim to keep only the data needed for a stated purpose and to de-identify, aggregate, or separate it where practical:

De-identified or aggregated statistics that cannot reasonably identify a person may be kept longer for product analysis, capacity planning, and experience improvements.
5. Ads, cookies, and similar technologies
The web and desktop products may display contextual or personalized ads, sponsored placements, or partner content. Subject to applicable law, we or our partners may use device details and identifiers, browsing or usage activity, ad interactions, access context, approximate region, cookies, local storage, and similar signals for ad selection, measurement, and frequency control.
We do not distribute your song files as ad content or require a copy of your songs to provide advertising. In places where the law requires consent, particularly the EU/EEA, personalized advertising and nonessential cookies or similar technologies should be enabled only after valid consent.
6. When information may be shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share only information needed for a specific purpose with providers of hosting, logging, security, analytics, email, ad delivery, or measurement; to resolve a support issue or complaint; to comply with law, court orders, regulatory requirements, or lawful enforcement requests; to protect the rights and safety of OFPlayer, users, the public, or others; or as part of a lawful merger, restructuring, asset sale, or business transfer. We aim to limit each disclosure to what is necessary.
7. International transfers
Our infrastructure or service providers may be in countries outside your own. Where applicable law requires it, we will take reasonable steps to protect transfers, including appropriate contractual, access-control, and security measures.
8. Your rights
Depending on the law where you live, you may be able to request access to, correction or deletion of, or a copy of your personal data; ask us to restrict or stop certain processing; request portability; withdraw consent you previously gave; or complain to a competent supervisory authority. 9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, which may include access controls, separation of permissions, audit logs, anomaly monitoring, minimization, de-identification, transport security, and anti-abuse protections. No online transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Copyright, piracy, and the DMCA
OFPlayer does not provide pirated music or promote the unauthorized distribution of music. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to content you import, connect to, play, cache, share, or distribute through the product, including content on third-party servers, NAS devices, WebDAV, or FTP sources.
If we receive a valid infringement notice, court order, or other lawful request, we may take steps required by applicable law, including disabling links or features, addressing repeat infringement, or cooperating with legal proceedings. Section 512 of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act establishes a notice-and-takedown safe-harbor framework for eligible service providers; eligibility depends on meeting its requirements.
11. Product scope and user responsibility
OFPlayer is a player, connection tool, and related technical service. Unless the law provides otherwise, you are responsible for ensuring that content you import, connect, play, sync, cache, share, or distribute is lawful and properly licensed. Connecting a third-party source or private server does not by itself give OFPlayer ownership, authorization, or control over its content. This section does not exclude any responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
12. Minors
If you are a minor under applicable law, use OFPlayer with a parent or guardian’s consent or guidance. If we learn that we collected a minor’s personal data without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonably practical steps to delete it or limit its processing.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product, operations, law, or regulatory practice changes. We will communicate material changes through the website, product, or another reasonable channel. The latest date shown on this page identifies the current version.
