Attach lyrics to a track
- Select or play the track.
- Open More → Attach lyrics… in the playback bar.
- Choose a local
.lrcor.txtfile; these are the file types currently offered by the WinUI picker. - View the result under Details → Lyrics or the library’s Lyrics action.
Use Reparse lyrics after changing the attached content. Clear lyrics binding disconnects it from the track. You can add .lrc search locations under Settings → Library & Storage → Lyrics search folders.
The parser and shared Web view include work on TTML, word timing, translations, and romanization. The native picker, native line list, and Web views do not yet show every effect in the same way.
Immersive view
The immersive button opens a larger artwork and lyrics view. Timed lyrics follow playback when available; otherwise, you still see the track and artwork. Press Esc to return.
Floating Lyric Capsule
Use More → Lyric Capsule to show or hide the desktop window. It can display the current track, artwork, playback state, and available lyrics while you work. The WinUI capsule runs in its own native-hosted window. Its artwork, playback progress, and audio meter come from the current playback session; the meter settles when playback pauses. Window behavior differs from a mini player inside a browser.
If lyrics are missing or out of sync
- Confirm that the lyrics belong to the current track.
- Reparse after editing the file.
- Plain text without timestamps cannot follow individual lines by time.
- For a consistent offset, use the LRC offset tool. For syntax problems, use the LRC validator.
The web player, native list, and immersive Web view may render lyrics differently.
