Use these guides to set up a personal music server, connect OFPlayer, and work through common connection issues. You can also start with music files stored on your device; a server is optional.
Choose a server
- OpenList: Make a music folder available over WebDAV. Start here if you want to browse files on your own server.
- Navidrome: Set up a dedicated music server that OFPlayer can connect to using Subsonic.
- AList reference: Check an existing AList installation. For a new setup, follow the OpenList or Navidrome guide.
Connect and troubleshoot
Once your server is ready, connect it to OFPlayer. If you run into a login, path, or playback problem, use the WebDAV troubleshooting guide.
Before you start
- Keep your server’s address, username, password, and music folder path handy.
- Test the server on your local network first. Remote access needs a separate network setup and should use a secure connection.
- Follow the current installation and configuration steps in the OpenList documentation or Navidrome documentation.
OFPlayer’s server guides describe connections to servers you run or have permission to use. They do not include music content.
