The current WinUI implementation includes LAN phone pairing, library sync, device playback state, and a way to resume on the desktop. Those desktop features do not mean that every planned feature of standalone OFPlayer Hub is available.
Pair on the same local network
- Keep the desktop app running and put both devices on a network where they can reach each other.
- Open Settings → Devices & Hub on the computer and start pairing.
- Choose the computer on your compatible phone app, scan the QR code, or enter the current pairing code.
- Complete the phone’s library sync before selecting a track.
The pairing code expires; use the code currently shown on the desktop. Do not publish screenshots containing the QR code or connection address.
Pairing is not syncing
Pairing establishes a device relationship. Syncing supplies the phone with playable tracks, artwork, and resource versions. A connected phone may still be unable to play if sync has not finished. The current version saves paired devices and completed sync state and attempts to reconnect after restart when the service remains enabled. If you explicitly turn the service off, it will stay off on the next launch. Reconnecting does not automatically resume audio.
Resume on the desktop
While the phone plays, the desktop can show its track and position. Choose Continue on this computer, then wait for phone confirmation before desktop playback begins. A phone-to-desktop handoff has been device-validated, but network changes, sleep, timeouts, and rapid device switching still need separate testing.
If the computer is missing, check the app, service, and network. If the code expired, use the current one. If connected tracks fail, confirm sync and select the track again. After a desktop restart, check whether you changed the preview data directory.
Standalone Hub is aimed at private library hosting, streaming, and connected devices. Judge its available features from its own release notes; seeing Hub mode and connection details in WinUI does not make every planned Hub workflow available.
